FT Post Doctoral Fellow is available in the Department of Pathology. The post doc will conduct research in the field of non-coding RNAs with a focus on the elucidation of the mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of disease, will assist in the establishment of needed infrastructure for carrying out planned research activities.
PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with the field of non-coding RNA's and RNA interference; working experience in this area is a must.
Experience in DNA purification, RNA extraction, northern/southern/western blotting, transfection/transduction, RNai/miRNA, siRNA design, PCR, RT-PCR, RACE, vector construction, and site-directed mutagenesis.
