The laboratory of Molecular Virology (www.kostrikislab.com) of Department of Biological Sciences at University of Cyprus welcomes applications from qualified candidates for a two-year post-doctoral research position under an awarded Research Promotion Foundation grant. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Life Sciences, including but not being limited to Molecular Virology of hepatitis virus and/or human immunodeficiency virus, Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine. According to award requirements, the successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree that has been obtained within the last five (5) years, for the last two years lives and works abroad (outside of Cyprus) and to be less than forty (40) years of age. Monthly salary is set for €3,000. The postdoctoral Fellow is responsible for the employee contributions to social security and the University of Cyprus is responsible for the employer contributions to social security. The fellowship also covers the Fellow’s expenses for two airline return tickets covering the initial transportation to Cyprus, a mid-term visit to his/her home country and the return after the completion of the fellowship.
