Postdoctoral Fellowships in Genetic Epidemiology in Autism
 
The Hussman Institute for Human Genomics (HIHG) in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking post-doctoral fellows interested in joining our cutting-edge research team with projects in the Genetic epidemiology of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The interdisciplinary and highly-collaborative faculty of the HIHG aims to discover the genetic influences on human health and apply this knowledge to the practice of medicine through improved diagnostics, treatments, and medications. The faculty has a unique track-record identifying genetic risk factors for more than 60 diseases combined with currently available funding of more than $34 million from the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Defense.
 
We are seeking applicants for a large autism genomics project encompassing genome wide association data and next generation sequencing data. Applicants should have experience in epidemiology, genetics, and/or statistics. The ability to work in an interdisciplinary team is expected. The Hussman Institute for Human Genomics is located in the highly diverse and fast-growing metropolitan area of South Florida near to spectacular outdoors recreational opportunities.
