Research Interest
1. Stem Cell Biology 2. Cancer Genomics 3. Systems Biology
Multiple postdoctoral positions are available starting late 2011 or early 2012 in the laboratory of Dr. Jonghwan Kim in the Section of Molecular Cell & Developmental Biology/Institute for Cellular & Molecular Biology at the University of Texas at Austin.
The positions will focus on understanding of 1) regulatory networks controlling stemness of ES cells and iPS cells 2) common gene expression signatures between pluripotent stem cells and cancer. We use a broad panel of techniques including molecular biology, and high-throughput genomics approaches in combination with computational analysis. Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent degree in molecular biology, developmental biology or related discipline. We are looking for highly motivated scientists with relevant experience in stem cell biology, cancer biology, genomics, or bioinformatics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Salary will commensurate with experience and will adhere to current NIH guidelines.
