The open-access laboratory facilitates collaboration across a wide range of biological, microbiological, and analytical research programs.
Job Summary / Responsibilities:
As a Post-Doctoral Fellow, you will be a member of a research team involved with the development of novel drug delivery systems and medical devices for the treatment/prevention of HIV/AIDS.
Responsibilities include but not limited to, development and characterization of various drug delivery platforms (with specific emphasis on lipid and/or polymer based nanoparticles), in vitro biological assays, and in vivo animal models. The successful candidate is also expected to work collaboratively with team members within and external to the University of Manitoba.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph.D. in pharmaceutics, bioengineering, chemistry, or a related discipline.
- A good publication record with experience related to lipid or polymer based nanomedicine.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and willingness to contribute to and work in a team environment.
- Salary will be commensurate with training and research experience.
