The Schepens Eye Research Institute, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow in stem cell-based regenerative research to study the regenerative effects of human retinal progenitor cells and therapeutic applications to retinal degenerative diseases, including glaucoma and retinitis pigmentosa. Hands-on experience with animal surgery as well as background in neuroscience, retrograde labeling of neurons, frozen sectioning, immuohistochemistry, and microscopy are required. Candidates must have a Ph.D, M.D. or equivalent degree, with a strong background in molecular biology and neuroscience, and publication record in respected scientific journals. Knowledge of mouse brain electrophysiology is highly desirable
