UMI 2009 将于2009年9月11日至13日在山西太原举行。UMI 2009将为普适计算、MANET和信息分发及其相关领域的研究人员和实际应用开发人员提供一个领先的国际论坛平台，让大家分享最新的研究成果和实际应用中积累的经验。
这次大会的主题是普适计算、MANET和信息分发及应用。这次大会的特色是受邀发言的专家会对此领域具有重要意义的论题进一步探究，与会议同时出版的期刊杂志和海报将会涵盖很广范围的论题和论点，包括由具体的主题延伸出的已经发表的论文和特殊会议记录。
