德国汉诺威医学院招聘博士后

We are offering a postdoctoral research fellow position in the GMP Development Unit, Integrated Research and Treatment Center Transplantation (IFB-Tx) at Hannover Medical School (MHH). The IFB-Tx is intended to foster translational research within the field of organ and stem cell transplantation. Among the core facilities within the IFB-Tx, the GMP Development Unit provides service for an implementation of GMP standards in the development of novel cellular therapeutics. In addition, an independent research program is being established focusing on preclinical models of T cell-mediated immunomodulation and allograft tolerance in stem cell transplantation.

The successful candidate will take over responsibilities within the research group and promote the current research project on animal models of stem cell engraftment and chronic graft versus host disease (cGvHD). The establishment of an own research focus will be supported. Concurrently, the candidate will closely interact with other research groups within the MHH in a joint attempt to evaluate and upscale novel therapeutics according to GMP standards.

Highly motivated individuals with a recent PhD, MD, or MD/PhD and a strong background in stem cell research, cell biology and/or biotechnology are encouraged to apply. Evidence of scientific accomplishment is required and experience with animal experimentation is highly desirable.

MHH has the largest grant funding volume among medical faculties in Germany and is one of the leading research centres in Europe. We invite you to join a newly established dedicated research team within a state-of-the-art GMP facility, to contribute to novel projects in translational research, and to enjoy a collaborative and international environment. The position is available starting as soon as possible for an initial period of two years, with potential for extension. The salary will be equivalent to TV-L E13. Disabled candidates with equivalent qualifications will receive preferential consideration.

Hannover Medical School is an equal opportunity employer and is seeking to increase the proportion of female scientists.

Candidates should submit their application letter, CV, and the names of two references by e-mail until September 15th, 2009 to: Hildebrandt.Martin@mh-hannover.de.
