IPS invites applications for faculty positions (Principal Investigator) in virology, immunology and translational research focused on vaccine, therapeutics, diagnostics development for infectious diseases.
Applicants for a faculty position must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with at least three years of postdoctoral training, a strong record of research accomplishments, as documented by high impact publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. Applicants with independent extramurally funded research program, a track record of publications in leading peer-reviewed journals as senior author will be preferred.
IPS-CAS was jointly founded by CAS, Institut Pasteur and Shanghai Municipal Government in 2004 .The institute has 23 full time faculties (research units) and is located in one of the largest life science campuses in China, the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences (SIBS) located in the city center of Shanghai, providing the opportunities for interdisciplinary research with the Institutes of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Health Sciences, Nutrition and the CAS-MPG Partner Institute of Computational Biology. Scientists at IPS-CAS have access to state of art technology platforms needed for cutting-edge biological research and also have access to our network of hospitals in China and Asia for clinical research collaborations as well as the International Network of Pasteur Institutes worldwide. The successful candidates will join a well-funded interdisciplinary team of top-level scientists in a collaborative and highly dynamic environment. Teams with translational research orientation benefit from IPS’ partnerships with hospitals and physician-scientists at national and regional level.
