实验室大量招人啦！
我单位Thomas Graf实验室将于2019年夏季运行，研究领域是在机理和转化医学上的转录因子诱导的体细胞转分化和ips细胞重编程。Thomas Graf是细胞重编程领域的知名学者，曾以第一作者或共同第一作者在Nature, Science, Cell等杂志上发表论文26篇。Thomas Graf也是EMBO和Academia Europea成员，Cell Stem Cell编辑委员会成员，也曾获许多著名的国际奖项。
新实验室将重点研究两个主要项目：
a）癌症项目。通过药物筛选获得可激活人白血病细胞内源 C/EBPa的药物，从而降低其致瘤性。过表达C/EBPa基因诱导人白血病细胞转分化，移植到免疫缺陷小鼠后抑制肿瘤发生。另一个目标是采用转分化技术获得功能性的人胶质细胞，做为危害大脑功能的炎症疾病模型。这项工作将与中科院广州生物医药与健康研究院药物筛选平台负责人Micky Tortorrella、华南理工大学谢华峰、南方医院和南方医科大学冯儒以及中科院广州生物院的Miguel Esteban和王金勇合作完成。
b）基础研究。实验将继续做细胞转化机制研究，重点关注染色质，核小体和基因组拓扑的动态研究。我们将结合高通量平台并开发新的计算工具，以便更好地可视重编程机制的动态发展。长期研究目标是深层次了解细胞命运决定过程，希望发现可能对发育疾病和癌症有更广泛影响的新型致病机理。
我们将与裴端卿，Austin Smith和Hans Schoeler共同合作完成研究。
广州实验室将于2019年夏季运行，成功入选者会立即聘用到巴塞罗那的实验室培训，待实验室运行后回到广州工作。

Postdoctoral Positions in the laboratory of Thomas Graf
Guangzhou Regenerative Medicine and Health Guangdong Laboratory（GDL）

We seek to hire two or more postdoctoral fellows to work at our new laboratory, at GIBH, to be opened in the summer of 2019. Our general area of interest is transcription factor-induced transdifferentiation and iPS cell reprogramming of somatic cells, both at the mechanistic and translational levels. Thomas Graf is a pioneer in the cell reprogramming field, being first or senior author of 26 original papers published in Nature, Science or Cell. He is an elected EMBO and Academia Europea member, an editorial board member of Cell Stem Cell, among others, and has won a number of prestigious awards.
The new lab will focus on two main projects:
a) Cancer project. Performance of a compound screen to find a drug that activates endogenous C/EBPa in human leukemic cells, thereby impairing tumorigenicity. This is based on our previous work showing that C/EBPa overexpression induces their transdifferentiation and impairs tumorigenesis when transplanted into immunodeficient mice. Another aim is to use transdifferentiation to develop functional human microglia, as a model for inflammatory diseases that affect the brain. This work will be performed in collaboration with Micky Tortorella, head of the screening facility of GIBH; Huafeng Xie, South China University of Technology; Feng Ru, Nanfang Hospital and Southern Medical University; as well as Miguel Esteban and Jinyong Wang at GIBH. b) Basic research. This part of the lab will continue working on mechanisms of cell conversions, focusing on the temporal dynamics of chromatin, nucleosomes and genome topology.
We will combine high throughput datasets and develop novel computational tools that permit to better visualize dynamic aspects of reprogramming mechanisms. The long-term goal is to obtain a deep understanding of how cells decide their fate, with the hope of discovering new principles that may have wider implications for developmental diseases and cancer. This part of the work will be performed in collaboration with the GIBH labs of Duanqing Pei, Austin Smith and Hans Schoeler.
Conditions and candidate requirements
Candidates should have a PhD, experience in related experimental areas and/or in bioinformatics and relevant publications. They should communicate well in spoken and written English. A previous stay abroad would be an asset. Candidates will be trained at our Barcelona lab for half a year before moving to Guangzhou.

The Guangzhou lab will open in the summer of 2019, but candidates will join the Barcelona lab as soon as they are hired.
