A post-doc position at Ushio-Fukai laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology, Center for Lung and Vascular Biology, Center for Cardiovascular Research, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is currently open.
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated postdoc who is interested in vascular biology in the area of angiogenesis, oxidative stress and cardiovascular disease.
Candidates must possess a PhD and/or MD degree (or equivalent) with experience in molecular biology or cell biology or signaling, or animal models. The project will involve in but not be limited to the investigation of role of reactive oxygen species in cardiovascular diseases and angiogenesis in the field of vascular and endothelial biology. Research environment: our research and training programs on vascular biology in the Department of Pharmacology at UIC consistently ranks among the top ten nationally (http://www.uic.edu/depts/mcph/). State of the art facilities (ESR to measure free radicals, imaging, proteomics, etc) are accessible.
