美国佛罗里达大学药学院招聘博士后

Postdoctoral fellowships (2) in the area of GPCR molecular pharmacology are available at the University of Florida for research involving drug discovery targeting brain serotonin, histamine, and muscarinic GPCRs. The positions are available March 1 and are funded by two NIH 5-year grants awarded to the Principle Investigator in the College of Pharmacy. GPCR experience is required to conduct radioreceptor and intracellular signaling assays, G protein studies, and mutagenesis studies involving TM and IL domains.

The projects are to characterize ligand–receptor and receptor–G protein molecular interactions involved in ligand–directed receptor signaling (aka conformationally- or functionally-selective signaling) toward drug discovery for neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. A Ph.D. in pharmacology, molecular biology, bio/medicinal-chemistry, neuroscience, or related field is required. Knowledge of medicinal chemistry and experience with neurochemical and neurobehavioral assays would be helpful. Excellent English scientific writing/presentation skills and write-up of manuscripts for publication is required. Salary range is according to NIH guidelines.

Send CV and statement indicating relevant GPCR experience to Dr. Raymond G. Booth (Booth@cop.ufl.edu). Further information: http://www.cop.ufl.edu/departments/mc/index.htm
