Postdoctoral positions in computational and experimental genomics.

 

Several Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are available to be supported by the NIH-funded Center of Excellence in Genomic Science (CEGS). One will concentrate on experimental Drosophila work in the laboratory of Dr. Sergey Nuzhdin and the others will concentrate on developing novel computational and statistical tools to understand the genotype-to-phenotype map in Drosophila, Arabidopsis. The intellectual goal of the CEGS is to build genotype-to-phenotype maps in model systems using natural molecular-genetic variation in resequenced inbred lines and accessions in order to generate predictive models of phenotypic variation that can then be applied to humans. The postdoctoral scholars will experience a highly interactive and resource-rich environment and full academic freedom.
