A postdoctoral fellowship position is available at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School. The lab works on novel immunological approaches for the treatment of cancer. We have developed an innovative approach to isolate tumor-specific B cells from patients who have responded favorably to a new cancer vaccine. The goal of the project is to characterize these tumor-specific B cells and to sequence the immunoglobulin genes so that recombinant human antibodies can be generated. These antibodies will be tested for their therapeutic potential in animal models with human cancers. Experience in B cell immunology or in molecular biology/biochemistry would be a plus.
