A cross-discipline postdoctoral position is open in the areas single-molecule chromatin and DNA repair biophysics. This position will be a joint appointment in the Department of Molecular Virology, Immunology and Medical Genetics within the OSU Medical Center as well as the Department of Physics within the OSU College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. A qualified candidate will be expected to develop single-molecule force measures using chromatin substrates and human DNA repair components. Prior experience in the biochemical analysis of DNA metabolic proteins or the biophysical analysis of single molecules is required. The candidate will be jointly supervised by Drs Richard Fishel and Michael Poirier. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated researcher looking to transition between basic biophysics and medicine.
