A Research associate/Postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Nutritional Immunology Laboratory (NIL) at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University in Boston, MA. The NIL studies the impact of age and nutrition on the immune function, particularly that of T cell-mediated response by utilizing cellular and molecular techniques, animal models, and human clinical trials. The individual who fills in this position will focus on the studies investigating effect of selected food components on autoimmune disease in animal models as well as on T cell differentiation and the regulation network. The candidates should have a Ph D or equivalent doctoral degree in the field of nutrition, immunology, molecular biology, or related fields and have the appropriate laboratory experience. Experience of using flow cytometry and autoimmune animal models is highly preferable. Salary is commensurate with experience according to NIH stipend levels.
