美国冷泉港实验室招聘博士后

A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Adam Kepecs at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Research in our lab focuses on the principles and neural circuit mechanisms of decision making in rodents. Our approach combines behavioral, computational, electrophysiological and opto-genetic techniques to understand behavior at the neural circuit level.

We are looking for a creative and motivated individual with strong interest in systems neuroscience. Talented applicants from any research background will be considered with a preference for expertise with neurophysiological and/or optical techniques. The ideal candidate will also have strong quantitative skills and reasonable programming ability (especially Matlab).

Our research uses sophisticated and high-throughput behavioral paradigms in rats and mice combined with multi-electrode recordings, opto-genetic manipulations and molecular genetic/viral techniques. Potential research topics include the neural basis of decision confidence, dynamic coordination of activity between brain regions and function of the forebrain cholinergic system. More information about our research is available at http://kepecslab.cshl.edu or by contacting Adam Kepecs.

CSHL offers a highly collaborative and interactive intellectual environment with competitive salary and benefits as well as a beautiful location about an hour from New York City. To apply for the position, please send a brief letter describing research experiences/interests, CV, preprints if necessary, and letters of recommendation (or contact information for two/three references) to kepecs@cshl.edu.
