Postdoctoral position is available immediately at the Department of Pharmacology at the Thomas Jefferson University at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to study tumor stroma specific targeting and develop a novel therapeutic and drug delivery strategy for cancer. Highly motivated individual (Ph.D) with a solid background and skills in cellular biology, biochemistry, cancer biology, immunology, basic chemistry, as well as interest in nanotechnology based drug delivery are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates should have a Ph. D degree Required expertise includes the following skills, but not limited to: cell culture, molecular and cell biology techniques, mouse handling, protein evaluation (immunoblotting), immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, quantitative image analysis, and flow cytometry, chemical conjugation. Appointee will be expected to participate in research data collection and documentation within relevant guidelines and protocols; developing and evaluating new research techniques and procedures; publishing results in scientific journals; participating research meetings.
Successful appointee will be supervised by PI at the Thomas Jefferson University. The ideal candidate should be able to take a lead role on a project and report to the PI. Salary is commensurate with experience. Applicants must be citizens or noncitizen nationals who are currently legally authorized to work and reside in the United States.
