A postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Michigan for a recent Ph.D graduate (0-3 years post Ph.D) in biochemistry/molecular biology/cell biology or related fields. The candidate will be using mouse knockout models to elucidate the role and mechanism of SAG E3 ubiquitin ligase in carcinogenesis and angiogenesis. The candidate will also have an opportunity to study the mechanism of cell killing induced by a small molecule inhibitor of E3 ubiquitin ligase.
The candidate will be working in a scientifically stimulating environment. Extensive knowledge in cancer biology, and protein ubiquitination and degradation with high levels of self-motivation is required.
