Springer is looking for experienced science editors to expand the publishing program in China
Springer was founded in 1842 and is today the largest science, technology, and medicine book publisher in the world, as well as the second largest academic journal publisher globally. The company publishes more than 2,000 journals and 6,500 new book titles each year, in addition to its array of online services. Springer is part of Springer Science+Business Media, which owns 70 publishing companies in 20 countries throughout the world and employs 5,000 people.
Currently Springer is looking for experienced science editors with academic background in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Computer Science or Mathematics. Please refer to Job Description for the details.

Position: Editorial Project Executive (Computer Science and Mathematics)
Location: Beijing
Reporting Line : Report to Director of Editorial Project Management, China
Responsibilities:
1. To build up the author/editor/reviewer network among Chinese scientific community
2. Keep abreast of latest development in responsible subject area and focus on emerging topics as well as the interdisciplinary researches.
3. To plan, acquire and manage Editorial Projects (include journals, books and other electronic products).
4. Responsible for the quality of Editorial Projects, including metadata, content, language, layout, etc.
Requirements:
1. Master degree or above in relevant subject area is a must.
2. Previous working experience in international STM publishing industry is desired.
3. Experience of living / working in a foreign country outside China will be helpful
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Presentable and fluent in both written and spoken English.
6. Strong organizational skill, detail oriented and capable to handle multiple tasks.
7. Highly motivated with a sense of self-discipline
8. Proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
