Two Post Doctoral Fellow positions are open immediately at the Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling in the Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Houston. Our laboratory focuses on the physiological control functions and dysregulation of the estrogen and liver X receptors, using genetically manipulated mouse models as a key experimental tool.
Qualified applicants must possess a PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, developmental biology, cellular biology, or a related field, and will have a strong background in nuclear receptors and cell signaling. Experience may be in molecular biology, cellular biology, molecular physiology, cancer biology, neurobiology or structural biochemistry. Proficiency in English is a requirement.
Post Doctoral Fellows will have an opportunity to work with senior research faculty, other trainees and staff members in a modern research lab with excellent equipment and resources. There will be opportunities for travel for data collection and to present scientific findings at professional meetings.
