Invitation for Postdoctoral Researchers to Join Guangdong University of Technology

Guangdong University of Technology is located in Guangzhou, the beautiful “city of flowers” in south China. It is a key university of Guangdong Province with a history of over 50 years. It is a multi-disciplinary university offering a wide range of courses in engineering, science and technology, business management, liberal arts and law, with major emphasis on the study of engineering. Making use of the geographical advantage of being adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao and the opportunities emerging in Guangdong’s prosperous economic development, the university has undertaken a large batch of national, provincial and local key scientific and research projects and international cooperation projects and has established the engineering R & D centers with quite a few well-known enterprises at home and broad. In recent years, the university has introduced a number of high-level talents and innovative teams, formed its own distinctive features and advantages in relevant disciplines and obtained a batch of significant scientific and research achievements. In 2012, the university will implement the “Excellent Postdoctoral Researchers Cultivation Plan” to invite excellent postdoctoral fellows at home and broad to join our university.
1. Requirements
(1) PH.D. in relevant fields (or providing relevant materials to prove that one has already pass the dissertation defense), age under 40.
(2) Strongly interested in scientific research, having a cooperative spirit of teamwork and having independent scientific research ability.
(3) Having the ability to read academic materials, write academic papers and make communication in English.
(4) Working full time in the post doctoral mobile station.
2. Salaries and Other Benefits
(1) The salary for the postdoctoral researchers is between 80-140 thousand RMB per year. Special requests can be proposed if you are an outstanding postdoctoral researcher.
(2) The postdoctoral researchers will be treated as same as the regular staff of the university in applying for projects, publishing academic papers and declaring the scientific research results.
(3) The postdoctoral researchers can apply for corresponding academic titles during their stay in the post doctoral mobile stations. The assessed excellent postdoctoral researchers can be employed as regular staff members in principle after they leave the post doctoral mobile stations.
(4) The university will provide the postdoctoral researchers with apartments of one living room and two bedrooms with basic living facilities during their two-year stay in the post doctoral mobile stations. The rent and the utilities will be charged according to the university’s relevant regulations.
(5) The postdoctoral researchers can apply for the permanent residence in the university during their stay in the post doctoral mobile stations. The spouse and the minor children can apply for temporary residence if they stay together with the postdoctoral researcher.
