Research Scientist: Dalian, China
Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is located in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian, in northeastern China's Liaoning Province. It is one of the key universities under the direct leadership of the State Ministry of Education of China.
Research Scientist positions are available in the program of the cancer metabolism and therapy at School of Chemical Engineering & Environmental Life Sciences in Dalian University of Technology, Dalian China. The program of the cancer metabolism and therapy was initiated by Dr. Xiao, which includes the four directions focusing highly on early diagnosis of human cancers, and understanding the regulatory of small molecules (non-coded RNAs, herb medicinal molecules and metabolites) in tumorigenesis and metastasis, leading to development of novel diagnosis strategies, and of new therapeutic concepts of the human disease. This program was established as an international platform for high-level structured career development and scientific training program, providing lectures, seminars, courses, workshops, retreats and participating meetings and exchange visits.
We are looking for highly motivated research scientists in all levels of their career stages, who can join us for the research endeavor. Ideal applicants should hold a PhD or a MD, or MD/PhD, respectively, in the related field. A keen research interest in cancer metabolism, the ability to work effectively in a team and good communication skills in English or Mandarin are required. Salary and benefit are highly competitive upon experience. Gary Guishan Xiao is a Scientific Academic Director of the school of Pharmaceutical Science and technology at Dalian University of Technology, and an internationally recognized expert in the field of genomics，proteomics and metabolomics of cancers. Dr. Xiao’s research at UCLA and harbor UCLA medical Center, and Creighton University were highly focused on genomic, proteomic and metabolomics interpretations of diet-induced obesity/diabetes and its complications such cancers.
