An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available to study the contribution of endoplasmic reticulum stress responses to the biology and virulence of the opportunistic human fungal pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus. Ph.D. in eukaryotic microbiology is preferred, but highly motivated applicants with related experience from other fields will be considered.
The ideal candidate should have experience with eukaryotic cell biology, gene cloning, protein/RNA expression analysis, infection models, and have excellent communication/writing skills. Experience with subcellular fractionation or microarrays is a plus.
