英国伦敦大学玛丽皇后学院招聘博士后
Applications are sought for a junior Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a team investigating the molecular mechanisms of blood vessel growth in tumour angiogenesis with Dr Kairbaan Hodivala-Dilke. The successful applicant will use cell culture and genetically modified mouse models to investigate the molecular mechanism, especially of adhesion related molecules to angiogenesis, with the long term goal of designing better anti-angiogenesis therapy to treat cancer. The questions under investigation will require the use of a range of cell culture and molecular biology techniques, cell-based assays, confocal/time-lapse microscopy and the use of mouse models. The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas and expertise to other studies going on within the group and Centre. The research will largely be based in the Centre for Tumour Biology at Charterhouse Square.

Essential requirements for the post include a PhD and previous experience in cell and molecular biology and cancer biology. The post will require a demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential. The full-time post is funded by Cancer Research UK and is available for a period of 26 months. Appointment will be made on the Research Grade 4 scale with a starting salary of up to £27,813 per annum, depending on experience.
