The project is part of the Integrated Center of Research and Therapy (IFTZ) and addresses questions related to the pathogenesis of leukemias caused by aberrant chromosomal translocations. It aims to utilize chromosome capture technology to research whether nuclear positioning is significant in generating disease caused by aberrant action of the Recombination Activating Gene (RAG) products. Furthermore, it aims to generate a transgenic mouse model for follicular lymphoma based on analysis of the antibody repertoire of tumours by single cell sorting and PCR to clone the heavy and light chains of lymphoma B cells from patients.
The position is available immediately, it is for three years and can be extended to four.
