Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Yeast Metabolism or Metabolic Engineering (Ref. R65N1540) Salary in the range £25,135 – £30,013, depending on knowledge and experience
Three year fixed-term contract
The School of Biosciences has three, industrially sponsored, three-year fixed- term positions for post-doctoral research scientists in the fields of yeast molecular biology, genomics and metabolic engineering. You will integrate into a newly refurbished university research laboratory supervised by Dr J. Love and Dr S. Aves, investigating the molecular control of metabolism in Yeast. We are seeking highly-motivated and articulate individuals with a Ph.D. in molecular biology, genomics, biochemistry or related discipline. You will be organised, dynamic, self-motivated and with demonstrable ability to work as part of a close team. The ability to present data concisely and to different audiences is advantageous.
The closing date for completed applications is 5 May 2008. Interviews will be held on 21 May 2008, with a start-date in June 2008.
