UCL Institute of Neurology Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Applications are invited for the above post based in the Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy, UCL Institute of Neurology, and the National Society for Epilepsy, Chalfont St Peter.
The project is to study neuropathological and molecular genetic aspects of drug resistance in human brain tissue. It is one workpackage in an EU-funded multinational multidisciplinary programme investigating new tools for imaging drug resistance in humans (EURIPIDES).
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant area, and have previous experience of molecular neuropathology, including immunohistochemistry. Molecular genetics skills would be an advantage. Excellent organisational and IT skills, creativity, and the ability to act independently as well as in a team, are also required. The post is available immediately and is funded for the period to 31 January 2012.
Starting salary £30,115 pa inclusive on the UCL Grade 7 scale, superannuable.
