Postdoctoral Fellowship

A post-doctoral position is opened to work in the field of « host-pathogen interactions » devoted to delineate reciprocal interactions between Brucella spp. and eukaryotic cells during infection. Part of the program will be focused on the putative involvement of bacterial OMVs (Outer Membrane Vesicles) in the host eukaryotic cells response to infection. The work implies several research units of the University of Namur and a strong collaboration with Prof. Jean-Jacques Letesson’s laboratory. For a fixed term two years fellowship, we are looking for a highly motivated PhD (international mobility programme for non Belgian Scientists) with a strong background in cell biology. Applicants must possess strong written and oral communication skills in English and must be highly motivated to work in a competitive team. The candidate must also be ready to work with a CAT III pathogen (i.e. in a BL3 laboratory).
