Applications are invited for a Post-doctoral position in Computer-Aided Design and Optimization at the School of Science and Engineering, Reykjavik University, Iceland.
 
The position involves carrying out research in the area of computer-aided surrogate-based modeling and optimization with applications in electrical engineering and emphasis on microwave/RF circuits and systems. Research includes development and implementation of surrogate-based optimization algorithms and modeling techniques, performing numerical experiments involving electromagnetic/circuit simulators, as well as development of the relevant software.
 
Candidates must hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related fields. Experience with at least one of the following simulation/design environments is essential: Sonnet em, Agilent ADS, FEKO, Ansoft HFSS, Ansoft Maxwell, Zeland IE3D, MEFiSTo. Design experience in the area of microwave/RF and/or other fields of electrical engineering, Matlab programming skills, as well as working knowledge of numerical analysis and optimization techniques will be considered an asset.
