Post doc position in Systems Biology of Salmonella infection
A 3-year post doc position is available in a collaborative project between the Center for Systems Microbiology, at the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Copenhagen
The project is part of a large research project financed by the Research Council for Technology and production and aims to perform a systems biology analysis of the infection machinery of Salmonella. The post doc will be analysing existing omics data from the literature, constructing mutants and characterising these by DNA microarray and other analyses.
Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or similar degree and academic qualifications equivalent to the PhD level. A strong background in Molecular Biology/Microbiology is required and experience in working with Salmonella or other pathogenic bacteria on a molecular level is an advantage.
Fluency in English and good abilities to work in a team is also required.
The post doc position includes limited teaching in microbiology and molecular biology.
The salary and appointment terms are negotiated in accordance with the current collective agreement for Danish University faculty members.
