Terahertz science and technology is relatively new and exciting field with applications in biomolecular science, pharmaceuticals, security screening, and imaging.

 

The University of Essex is looking to recruit PhD students to work in this area. We are interested to recruit students at either Bachelor or Masters level. Bachelors level students will need to complete a 12 month Masters by Research programme before starting their PhD programme. Masters level students will be able to start their 3 year PhD programme immediately.

 

We are looking for students who enjoy a challenge and wish to work in an area of science that involves working in multidisciplinary teams of physicists, chemists, biologists, and engineers. Applicants can have a background in a wide range of science or engineering fields.
