Applications are invited for a three-year postdoctoral position within the Division of Molecular Biosciences, Imperial College London. The division provides an integrated post-genomic research programme focused on world-class research activities and is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These include the Cross-Faculty NMR Centre, housing a flagship 800 MHz spectrometer.
In collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine we are studying structural and mechanistic aspects of small protein inhibitors of bacterial RNA polymerase. We are seeking an outstanding NMR spectroscopist to harness the latest TROSY-based methods and provide new insight into these fascinating systems. The successful applicant should also have some fundamental molecular and microbiological skills.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with a Ph. D. degree in structural biology-based NMR spectroscopy. Experience in applying cutting-edge NMR techniques to large proteins is particularly desirable. Good communication skills are absolutely essential as this is a highly multidisciplinary project. The salary will be negotiated according to candidate skills and experience.
