Posdoctoral Research Fellowship Cambridge *£26,650 – £34,150 pa inc
The Mammary Stem Cell Laboratory, headed by Dr. John Stingl, is located at the new Cancer Research UK’s Cambridge Research Institute. The Institute is core-funded by Cancer Research UK and has state-of-the-art research facilities for over 20 research groups to undertake world-class research into all aspects of cancer biology.
The Mammary Stem Cell Laboratory is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join their team. The primary research topic for this fellowship is investigating the heterogeneity and cycling properties of cancer stem cells within human breast tumours. You should have a PhD in a relevant field and must be enthusiastic and curiosity-driven. You must have a strong background in molecular biology, preferably in the area of viral transduction of mammalian cells.
The post is fully supported by Cancer Research UK core funds; the Institute strongly encourages candidate-driven efforts to obtain competitive fellowships and career development awards.
The fellowship is for three years and the anticipated start date is spring/summer 2009. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is identified.
