Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Full-time, fixed-term for 3 years, available from 1 March 2009
Project title: Functional analysis of the CTCF/cohesin complex during myeloid differentiation
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellow position, funded by the Medical Research Council, to determine the role of CTCF and cohesin in the regulation of myeloid genes and thus in the control of cell fate decisions in the myeloid lineage.
You must be a highly motivated and innovative scientist with a PhD (or soon to be awarded) in research devoted to understanding gene regulation and/or chromatin structure. You will have a proven track-record in standard molecular biology techniques, such as cloning, Real-time PCR, DNA and RNA extraction. Good knowledge of the field of haematopoietic development is also essential.
You will join the Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine, a world-class multi-disciplinary research institute, dedicated to defining the molecules involved in human diseases.
University Grade 7 (£29,704 – £35,469 p.a.) dependent upon qualifications and relevant experience
