A Cancer Research UK funded Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available immediately, until 30 April 2013, to study DNA cross-link repair pathways in the DNA Damage and Repair Group, WIMM (Head, Peter McHugh).
The postholder will build upon an established collaboration between the groups of Dr. Peter McHugh, Professor Chris Schofield and Dr Opher Gileadi, focussing on mechanistic studies of the SNM1-family of DNA repair proteins. The successful candidate must possess a good first degree and PhD in biochemistry, genetics or a related discipline. Experience in protein purification and DNA biochemistry is essential. Knowledge of DNA repair and/or recombination would be a great advantage.
