英国伦敦国王学院招聘免疫与炎症研究博士后

Academic Department of Rheumatology, Centre for Inflammation Biology, Division of Immunology, Infection and Inflammatory Diseases, King’s College School of Medicine at Guy’s Hospital Campus, London.

The Academic Department of Rheumatology seeks to recruit a postdoctoral research associate to coordinate and develop research activities in human immunology within the field of chronic inflammatory autoimmune diseases. This research post will be based within the Centre for Inflammation Biology. This new centre is currently being established on the Guy’s Campus of King’s College London, and will be based in New Hunt’s House, in 1200 sq meters of laboratories currently undergoing refurbishment. The successful candidate will be expected to lead, under the supervision of Prof Cope, a group of laboratory staff whose principal aim is to establish and validate clinically useful and innovative assays of immune function in the context of chronic inflammatory diseases such as RA. These assays will underpin a wide range of projects in the laboratory that seek to understand the aberrations of immune function which herald the onset and perpetuation of the inflammatory disease process, as well as the impact of novel therapies. Particular emphasis will be placed on defining markers of pathogenic T cell activation, differentiation and regulation. To this end the post holder will be expected to have 3-4 years prior postdoctoral experience. A detailed knowledge of applied cellular immunology would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.

For further details of the post, please contact Prof Andrew Cope, arc Professor of Rheumatology, Academic Department of Rheumatology, King’s College School of Medicine, 5th Floor Southwark Wing, Guy’s Hospital Campus, London SE1 9RT (andrew.cope@kcl.ac.uk).

The salary will be on grade 6: £32,917 to £37,792 per annum, inclusive of £2,323 London allowance.
