Postdoctoral Researcher – Bioinformatics
£30,594 – £32,458 pa
To join a research-active bioinformatics group working in an exciting cross-disciplinary environment. You will develop software tools to enable protein expression data to be used for gene discovery and for improving current gene annotations. You will work with genome/proteome data from a range of organisms, with a particular focus on apicomplexan parasites. The developments will improve our understanding of the pathogenicity of these organisms, which have considerable medical and veterinary importance.
You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience in bioinformatics software development. The post is funded by BBSRC for 3 years.
