Postdoctoral Position in the structural biology of dUTPases and other nucleoside enzymes from Leishmania and Trypanosoma
A postdoctoral position funded by the European Commission is available to work on the dUTPases and other nucleoside enzymes from Leishmania and Trypanosoma with Professor Keith Wilson at the University of York.
The work will focus on expression and purification of enzymes, preparation of ligand complexes, and crystallisation and structural analysis of the complexes. This is part of the EC Trypobase project and the work will be done in collaboration with a number of laboratories in Europe.
Applicants for the post are expected to have experience in protein production and purification and in protein crystallography.
The post is available for up to 33 months from April 2009, with a starting salary in the range £28,839 – £35,469 per annum, according to qualifications and experience.
