The Centre for Genomic Research (CGR) is a leading UK laboratory for the application of genomic technology and bioinformatic analysis. Supported by MRC it is now undertaking a £2.67M expansion to provide new and exciting applications of next-gen DNA sequencing for clinical, biomedical, and comparative genomic research. For this we are recruiting Postdoctoral Researcher (Synthetic Polymer and Colloidal Chemistry), which will be for 3 years with the possibility of extension:
This post is funded by a Proof of Concept Award to: (i) underpin initial patent filings, and (ii) produce high impact publications. You should be a motivated synthetic materials chemist with interdisciplinary research skills, a proven publications record, a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in a polymer synthesis, nanotechnology or related field. Specific experience of emulsions, nanoparticles and nanoparticle dispersions and polymer assembly including physical characterisation would be advantageous. The post is available for 1 year.
