Job Description
Occupational Summary:
The post holder of Research Fellow (Post-doctor fellow) at the Global Health Research Center at DKY is expected to undertake high quality research in the areas of health policy and systems research in China and other low and middle income countries, under the supervision of senior faculty from DKU and DGHI. The post holder is expected to demonstrate his/her progress by publishing his/her research in China and internationally and seeking research grants/supporting faculty to seek research grants from within relevant funding agencies. She/her should also be involved in DKU’s educational/training programs in global health through occasional lectures, student supervision, etc.
Reports to: Professor TANG Shenglan, Director of Global Health Research Center at DKU and Associate Director of Duke Global Health Institute for China Initiatives
Essential Duties:
• Undertaken research in the areas of health policy and systems research in China and other low- and middle-income countries
• Support faculty at Global Health Research Center/DKU and DGHI to supervise MSc students at DKU
• Support the Director of Global Health Research Center and Head of Health Systems Research Team at DKU to develop research proposals for funding
• Provide other assistance required by Director of Global Health Research Center/DKU to establish the Global Health Research Center
Qualification:
PhD in public health, health economics, public policy and other relevant areas
