浙江大学生命科学研究院（Life Sciences Institute, LSI）成立于2009年10月，作为浙江大学特设的学术特区，是浙江大学的重点建设项目（一期建设经费为3亿元人民币），在学校授权范围内，具有相对独立的学术、人事和财务自主权。
生命科学研究院实行PI（Principal Investigator）聘任制，五年内向全球招聘30名在生命科学领域有所建树的科学家全职开展工作。自成立至今，已有9位PI加盟，形成了由近50位研究生、10多位技术人员组成的科研队伍。
生命科学研究院正处于快速成长期，现诚邀海内外英才加盟，提供优厚的薪酬待遇、住房（或房贴）和启动资金（≥500万元人民币）。招聘方向主要为癌症生物学、干细胞与发育生物学以及系统生物学，研究院同时也欢迎生命科学其它领域的杰出人才。
(1)首席研究员（Distinguished Investigator）：应聘者应在生命科学相关领域里具有世界一流的研究水平与国际声望，应能够参与引领研究院的发展，协助提升研究院的研究水平及其在国内外的知名度。
(2)资深研究员（Senior Investigator）：应聘者应已获得（或接近获得）终身faculty职位，在生命科学领域有深厚的研究背景，具有世界认可的研究水平与国际声望，能够指导与引领创新性研究。
(3)研究员（Investigator）：应聘者应具有数年博士后经验，在生命科学领域有优秀的研究背景，在国外重要学术刊物上发表具有国际影响力的学术论文，能够独立开展与指导创新性研究。

Zhejiang University established Life Sciences Institute (LSI) in October, 2009. LSI aspires to become a top research institute in a broad range of biological and medical research.
LSI has 9 laboratories and seeks additional 20 exceptional principal investigators at all levels to conduct innovative research in the areas of life and medical sciences, including (but not limited to) cancer biology, stem cell biology/development, biochemistry/molecular biology, chemical biology, systems biology, structural biology, immunology, and any disciplines related to cancer and major human diseases. All applicants should have demonstrated their outstanding track records with high impact publications in the field; senior applicants should have an independent and exciting research program.
A very generous recruiting package will be offered to tenure-track faculty members according to qualifications and experience, including salary and benefits (300,000-800,000 RMB), housing (or housing subsidies), and internationally competitive start-up research support. LSI and the university in general provide outstanding state-of-the-art research facilities and strong supporting staffs.
