Three NIH/ACS funded postdoctoral positions are available in a well-established laboratory that has recently moved to the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, a worldwide known cancer institute located at Pittsburgh-the No. 1 livable city in USA. The positions are for qualified candidates who wish to pursue a career in cell signaling research. The lab is actively investigating the cell signaling involved in tumorigenesis, immunity and cell development, particularly the NF-kappaB, autophagy, mTOR and cytokine signaling pathways.
Representative publications from the lab include: (2000) J Biol. Chem. 21081-5, 25222-30, 34060-7; Oncogene 1448-56, 5198-203; (2001) Science 1495-9; Molecular Cell 401-9; The EMBO J 6805-15; (2004) J Biol. Chem. 30099-105, 44563-72; (2005) J Biol. Chem. 18-27, 9765-8, 40578-82; (2006) Cell Res. 895-901; (2007) PNAS 5324-9; Cell Res. 520-30; Autophagy 600-3; (2008) EMBO Rep. one in revision, one in review; Cancer Cell in review
The ideal candidates for the postdoctoral positions should have demonstrated strong experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, and/or cancer biology. Experience in working with animal models (mouse and/or rat) is desirable but not necessary. To apply, please send cover letter, curriculum vitae and three reference letters (via e- or post-mail) to: Gutian Xiao c/o Charlotte Venson, HCCLB 1.18, 5117 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
