An NIH-funded Postdoctoral Fellowship is available immediately to develop novel drug delivery systems for therapy of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in in vivo and in vitro model systems. Salary opportunities will be highly competitive. Applicants should be highly motivated with a strong background in cardiac/cardiovascular function, nanoparticle design, pharmacology, oxidative stress, and/or in the use of rodent models of cardiovascular disease. Applicants will be involved in an expanding Cardiovascular Center and the cardiovascular research programs at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Minimum requirements are a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Physiology or other related science field.
