Applications are sought for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a team led by Dr Jeff Davies and Professor John Gribben investigating the Generation of suppressive donor T cells to specifically control alloresponses after allogeneic stem cell transplantation. The successful applicant will be involved in basic research in the selective manipulation of human alloresponses into novel Phase 1 clinical trials to improve the outcome of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation that aims to develop novel approaches in allogeniec stem cell transplantation. The research will largely be based in the Centre of Haemato-Oncology in the Institute of Cancer at Charterhouse Square (but will involve close collaboration with Barts Cancer Centre).
 
Essential requirements for this post include a PhD in a relevant subject and previous experience in human T cell immunobiology. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential. Previous experience in clinical translational research would be advantageous.
 
This is a full-time, fixed term post for 4 years. The starting salary will be in the range of £30,229 – £31,895 per annum inclusive of London Allowance and depending on experience. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
