法国巴黎狄德罗大学招聘生物信息学博士后

A 2-year postdoctoral position is open in the DSIMB Bioinformatics laboratory with Alexandre G. de Brevern (http://www.dsimb.inserm.fr/~debrevern/index.php), to work on a mono oxygenase (MO) protein family. The project is funded by National Grant Agency (ANR) and is a close collaboration with experimental labs and a start-up. The project combines classical and innovative structural bioinformatics approaches. Within the framework of high through put sequencing, numerous novel homologous MO proteins have been obtained. Few related protein structures are available and some biochemical experiments have been performed. The first part of the project will concern the precise analysis of available protein structures in regards to new sequences obtained by our experimental collaborators and the proposition of pertinent structural models. The second part of the project will focus on the precise functions of these MO proteins using molecular modeling and QSAR experiments.

The candidate should have a scientific background in Biology with a good knowledge of protein structure and folding principles. A mastership of tools in Sequence analysis, molecular modeling, is required. A background in Programming (C, Python or equivalent) and good basic computer skills will be an asset. She/he would have a PhD in bioinformatics, biophysics, or chemistry, chemoinformatics, or computer sciences with a strong interest in Biology. Finally, the ability to work effectively in a team based environment and leadership qualities are essential.

DSIMB team is a mixed unit of National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and University Paris Diderot – Paris 7 and National Institute for Blood Transfusion (INTS).
