Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Indoor Optical Wireless Communications - Oxford

The optical communications group is part the EU Framework 7 project OMEGA (co-ordinated by France Telecom), which has the aim of implementing Gigabit Wireless Home Networks. We wish to recruit a researcher to design and implement gigabit-class indoor optical wireless systems as part of this work.
You should have a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field; experimental and design experience in at least one of optics, optoelectronics and high speed electronics; modelling and simulation relevant to these areas, and have good verbal and written communication skills. You should also possess a high degree of self-motivation and the demonstrated ability or potential to publish your work in recognised journals.
The post is available immediately and is expected to finish at the completion date of the project, in December 2010.
