Molecular Biologist / Microbiologist (Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate)
DNA Replication, Genetic Variability and Antibiotic Action
Applications are invited from individuals with research interests in DNA replication, recombination, and repair, and antibiotics that target these processes. Current projects investigate molecular mechanisms that regulate newly discovered mutagenic pathways using state-of-the-art techniques in genetics and molecular biology. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. with a background in microbiology, genetics, molecular biology or biochemistry, as evidenced by publications in refereed journals. Applications from individuals with interest in replication, translation or antibiotic resistance mechanisms are especially encouraged.
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) is the nation's largest health sciences university. The International Center for Public Health (ICPH) is housed in a new world-class research building with approximately 40 research laboratories drawn from the UMDNJ/New Jersey Medical School and the Public Health Research Institute. ICPH offers a stimulating research environment with unprecedented opportunities for collaboration. ICPH is conveniently located with easy access to the metropolitan New York- New Jersey area by public transit.
