英国伯明翰大学招聘博士后
A three year postdoctoral position is available on a British Heart Foundation-funded grant to investigate the regulation of ITAM and integrin receptor signaling in platelets by the novel platelet surface protein G6b-B. G6b-B is a novel ITIM-containing protein that binds the protein tyrosine phosphatases Shp1 and Shp2 and inhibits platelet activation.

The project is based in Birmingham but is collaborative with the group of Prof Duncan Campbell in Oxford. Applications are invited from individuals with a strong background in protein biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology. Previous experience in working with platelets or other haematopoietic cells is desirable. An interest in cell surface receptors and their signalling pathways is essential.

For further information, contact Dr. Yotis Senis (y.senis@bham.ac.uk), Prof. Steve Watson (s.p.watson@bham.ac.uk) or Prof. Duncan Campbell (duncan.campbell@dpag.ox.ac.uk). Further details on the Birmingham Platelet Group can be found at:
