A post-doctoral position is open beginning on Sept 1, 2008, at National Public Health Institute and FIMM, Biomedicum Research Centre, Helsinki, Finland. The work involves generation and analysis of animal and cell models to characterize function of oxysterol-binding protein homologues, novel regulators of lipid metabolism. A strong background in molecular biology, mouse models, cellular lipid metabolism, and gene silencing technology is beneficial. Grant support is initially provided, but later also salary from EU FP7 funds may become available.
